Tushka Schapel

Tushka Schapel was born in Takaka. He moved to Wellington during his early primary school years and later relocated to Hawkes Bay after meeting his partner Tara, with whom he wanted to settle down and have children. Recently he moved to Canterbury to be closer to his extended family. 

Tushka has always been interested in technology. His journey began on his family’s Amstrad PC during his teenage years. After leaving school at 18 years, he completed a Certificate in Business Computing. He was fortunate enough to land a job at EDS in Wellington as a Desktop support engineer and never looked back. 

With over 27 years of experience in the IT Support industry, Tushka has worked mostly for MSP’s in the North Island with brief stints at Datacom and Gen-i. His passion has always been working with Small to Medium sized businesses to support their needs as technology evolves. Tushka is a true all-rounder, holding positions such as a Systems Engineer/Technical Consultant and everything in between. 

Outside of work Tushka enjoys spending time with his partner Tara and their two boys Arlo (11) and Graysen (7). Along with his love of technology he has always been very close to electronic music, organising parties, DJing and enjoying the nightlife. Tushka is also an enthusiastic mountain biker and snowboarder, but lately, he has been focusing on exploring the South Island, camping and making use of their new caravan with his family.
